Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund excluding service charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Service Fee: $50 for credit card payments

Requirements: Request must be made officially in writing through email or telephone communication

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half the total cost of the charter

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Service Fee: $25 deducted from the refund amount

Stipulations: A valid justification is necessary; administrative expenses apply

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not available

Exception: Exceptions for emergency situations will be taken into consideration

Alternative: A credit for a future charter may be offered at the discretion of management

Requirements: Supporting documents are required for emergency situations

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is our highest priority. In the event that weather conditions are considered hazardous for sailing as determined by our certified captain, we will offer various options:

  • Full Refund: Provided if rescheduling the charter is not an option
  • Reschedule: Move your booking to an alternate available date at no extra charge
  • Charter Credit: Issue a credit which is valid for a year from the original charter date

Weather Evaluation Process

Weather assessments are thorough and include a series of checks:

  • Evaluation of wind speed and direction
  • Assessment of wave height and overall sea conditions
  • Checking visibility and forecast of precipitation
  • Monitoring Coast Guard advisories and alerts
  • Determinations made by a professional captain regarding safety

Decision Timeframe: Determinations about weather cancellations are made at latest 4 hours before the planned departure time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Special Circumstances

We acknowledge that unexpected medical emergencies can happen. The following events may be considered for exceptional accommodations:

  • Unexpected illness or injuries leading to hospitalization
  • Passing of a direct family member
  • Urgent military duties or recall
  • Summons for jury duty or court orders
  • Natural disasters impacting travel arrangements

Documentation Needed

To process refunds under emergency conditions, we ask for:

  • A medical statement or hospital paperwork
  • A death certificate, where relevant
  • Orders from the military
  • Legal summons or notices for jury service
  • Advisories on travel or declarations of emergency status

Processing: Refunds concerning emergencies are handled within a span of 3-5 business days following the receipt of proper documents.

Operational Cancellations

Technical Difficulties

In the event of mechanical issues with your designated vessel that aren’t solvable:

  • Alternate Vessel: We’ll attempt to secure a similar yacht for your use
  • Full Refund: Issued if no appropriate substitute is available
  • Partial Refund: Given if the replacement vessel is priced differently
  • Compensation: Additional compensation might be provided for the trouble caused

Crew Issues

On rare occasions when our certified crew is not available:

  • A substitution of crew will be arranged if feasible
  • A full refund is given should the charter be unable to proceed
  • Option to reschedule without any additional costs

Refunds will be issued back to the initial method used for the reservation:

  • Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

$25 fee applicable to all refunds via bank transfer

Charter Credits

Situations for Credit Issuance

In certain scenarios, instead of a refund, credits for future charters might be offered:

  • Last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours of the charter)
  • Cancellations due to weather events
  • Customer-initiated rescheduling
  • Delays or disruptions caused by operational factors

Credit Details

  • Valid For: One year from the date of issuing
  • Transferable: Credits are not transferrable to others
  • Worth: Equates to the full cost of the charter with no extra fees
  • Application: Applicable to any upcoming charters that are available
  • Expiry: No extensions will be given past the 12-month period

Partial Service Refunds

Disruptions to Service

If your yacht excursion is interrupted or cut short due to issues we are accountable for:

  • A proportional refund reflecting the unused time of the charter
  • Credit towards a future booking with the same value
  • Free services or upgrades may be provided

Interruptions Caused by Guests

In case a charter ends prematurely due to actions or breaches of safety by guests:

  • No refund for the time not used
  • Full payment is still expected
  • Potential for additional fees

Dispute Resolution

If you take issue with a decision made regarding a refund, you may:

  • Ask for your case to be reviewed by our administrative team
  • Submit further documents or proof
  • Seek outside intervention from consumer advocacy groups
  • Explore legal channels as permitted by the law
